Why I made this blog...
I've come to the embarrassing conclusion that I talk about my pets, Charlie and Leo, like they are my children. When a friend tells me a funny story about the way her older son is jealous of her new, younger son, I counter with a story about how Charlie guards Alex and I against undue attention from Leo. When my advisor tells me she worries that she might roll over on her newborn baby at night, I counter with a tale of my month long paranoid dreams that Alex was rolling over and squishing baby Leo. When my mother calls, one of her first questions is "How's Charlie?" I offer a charming anecdote about how he recently ate some undigestible grass and threw it up at a social gathering. So why not go all the way? Why not do as many modern mothers do and share the lives of our furry children on a blog...
